Does anyone know where to get a 10 ft banana?
With the opening of the Sagmeister show at Deitch just a few days away, we thought we'd post a bit of progress on the show set up. The inflatable monkey sculpture standing about 40 ft high has been erected on the roof of the gallery. We are lucky to have a full view from the office of Beardwood&Co just like the show poster. Imagine being on the other side and waking up to it staring into your apartment as you make coffee in your skivvies.

The HfG Ulm was a highly influential design school started in 1955 by Otl Aicher, Max Bill, and Inge Scholl. Thought of as an extension to Bauhaus, students were trained in five areas - Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Building, Information, and Film. Unfortunately the school was short lived and ceased operations in 1968. The building still stands today and tours are provided to the general public. Read more about HfG’s legacy here and see more photos from alphanumeric's flickr set.
