Streetwear has mined hip-hop lyrics, corporate logos, movies, and pop culture to death. So what is next? It appears that some labels have expanded and ventured into 60s kitsch. Nexus VII a Japanese clothing line recreated the entire design of an iconic doll made to promote Naugahyde, a popular synthetic leather used to upholster Eames chairs and other types of furniture from the 60s and 70s. The Nauga Monster is a fictitious creature created as a mascot for an advertising campaign. Read more about its origins here.
