Richard Neutra's VDL Research House in Silver Lake opened to the public a couple of weeks ago. Originally built in 1932 the house burned down in 1963 but was quickly rebuilt the following year. The house is now open for tours.

Jean Prouve's Maison Tropicale is now on view at London's Design Museum. This coincides with Prouvé's current show exhibiting works spanning from furniture to architecture. You may remember last year the house was on view to the public for several weeks under the Queen's Bourough Bridge. It was a preview for an auction hosted by Christie’s. In the end the house sold for 4.97 million to Andre Balasz.

Curbed and Apartment Therapy LA reports that Richard Neutra's Sten-Frenke house in Santa Monica is up for sale. The house has been fully restored and is priced at nearly 7 million. Curbed posted a walkthrough of the house.

“Home Delivery: Fabricating the Modern Dwelling” is an exhibit at the MoMA opening in July. The museum has commissioned five architects to build prefab houses in the vacant lot next to them. The exhibit is a "celebration" of the process of how the prefabs have come to be. Beginning in mid-March the architects will blog about the process of delivery and construction of the houses.
