Damien Hirst is a business man. He is set to open an art shop this Spring in London named Other Criteria. The retail space will be stocked with artwork, T-shirts, postcards, plates and books featuring Hirst's work as well as works by up-and-coming artists.

Comme des Garcon's guerilla stores have been making it's way around the world and is finally making its way to the US. Bypassing the east coast for the left, their latest guerilla store is set to open in a former bank in LA for a year.

Tortoise - 1208 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA
We’ll admit it, we are consumers, we love objects and we love stuff. So when we were in LA, we needed our retail fix. Two shops we sought out during our visit were Tortoise and Ige. Tortoise is a boutique off of Abbott Kinney in Venice specializing in imported Japanese designs for the home. The store is co-owned by a husband and wife team, Keiko and Taku Shinomoto. They both worked at IDEE in Japan, Keiko was a manager for the store and Taku a designer. Their incredible selection and taste shows with many unique items that are rarely seen outside of Japan.
